Dicko - this pic taken day 1 of pulling him off our dairy flat - he is sun bleached, has been on grass for 2 months, has ticks and fly bites. He will look awesome in a month!
Dicko is a chestnut quarter horse with 1 tiny white spot on his belly and 2 white socks on his hind legs. Dicko was started by Ken Faulkner as a 2 year old, and the then owner rode him around 15 times and paddocked him. Phil has had him for about 12 months and done a bit of work with him, inconsistently. Worked him to go team penning, took him team penning where he worked quite well. Has been on trail rides, helped to move junior horses, and Is an honest horse with a kind nature. Phil took him on as a project, to re-sell, and has worked him a few times, team penning, trail riding and ponying other horses etc. Phil has decided to sell him due to no time, so i have taken him as a project.
He is a lovely solid horse and i think he will do quite well in any field but im going to work him generally for dressage and hacking. He does have a plain type face - its just solid chestnut, but he moves nicely and is a big solid horse so i think he will draw eyes in the hack ring and points in the dressage arena.
Im hoping to find a permanent home for him, because i think he would give it all for the right owner, he needs a partner this horse.
